How do some people...

...go to work, go to school, have a life, find time to sleep, eat and schedule ample grooming time, and still have time to write?

God Bless those people. They're my icons.

To be entirely fair: I may have overstocked my grocery cart. It's not that I don't choose everything that's clogging up my agenda, it's just that...well, maybe I should have filled up one of those red plastic baskets with the wire handles that dig into your palm once you've placed too many cartons of Silk soymilk inside. An entire rolling grocery cart-full of teaching and taking classes, games, concerts, dinners and travels just may have been too much for me to manage.

I'm just saying.

  • I dunno, man. I know someone who is 27-freaking-years old, is in school full-time for a master's degree, teaches kindergarten, AND is a single mother to a 2-year-old. AND she looks beautiful all the time. NOT. FAIR.

  • i always pick up the tiny basket and overflow. that's why i hardly ever go to the store alone. i make people carry my real-cow-utter milk. that and because i am too ADD when hungry and end up coming home with things that don't make a meal (ie: hello kitty fruit snacks, a green bell pepper, salsa, chicken broth, beef jerky, string cheese and cherry flavored water...ok, that's totally a meal. i lied.)

i wonder if that was an analogy for life...
